When you prescribe a current patient a new medication, it is important to ensure that you are adding the medication to the patient in PatchRx in order to track their medication compliance. Follow the steps below to learn how to add a medication and PatchCap to a current patient in PatchRx

Step 1) Navigate to the patient's page to which you would like to add the medication, and click on the settings icon to the right of the patient's name. This should reveal a dropdown list, of which one of the options should be to add or delete a medication. Click on "Add/delete Medication".

Step 2) Below the patient's current medications, you should see a button that says "Add New Medication" click on that button.

Step 3) Add the medication name, medication type, and ICD-10 Codes that the medication is designed to treat.

Step 4) Enter the serial number of the PatchCap

Step 5) Select the frequency of the medication

In this example, we will be adding a scheduled medication that should be taken every day.

Step 6) Select the daily dosing schedule for the patient for the scheduled medication and then click "Save medication"

Step 7) Confirm that the medication has been added correctly

Once the medication has been added, it can not be edited. You can only delete or add new medications.
